Design Requirements


The Board of Directors of the Sturgis Falls Celebration has selected the theme, "Summer Magic" to mark the 2011 Sturgis Falls Celebration to be held June 24-26/2011.

Original artwork is currently being accepted for the theme design.  All amateur and professional artists are encouraged to submit their own original design. Each artist may submit more than one design. To qualify, designs need to meet the following guidelines:
  • Artwork must be original and exclusive
  • Painted or drawn submissions must be scanned into the computer and put into a high-resolution PDF with embedded fonts and images Files and saved in CMYK  with 300dpi or higher resolution. Build Pages to full page bleed. See our website for more details.
  • Artwork must reflect the the following:
  1. 2011 theme, "Summer Magic"
  2. Sturgis Falls Celebration
  3. 36th Anniversary
  4. Sturgis Falls Celebration  tree logo
  5. dates June 24-26, 2011
  6. Cedar Falls, Iowa.
  • Art Work must be Submitted in three forms:
  1. Poster
  2. Billboard
  3. T-shirt
  • Artwork must be submitted in Poster Size.
  • Artwork will be used to produce an 18"x 24" Poster, an 8 1/2 " x 11" program cover, T-Shirt design and billboard, and must be submitted in the appropriate format.
  • Artwork will become the property of the Sturgis Falls Celebration, Inc.

An honorarium of $400 is awarded to the artist whose design is selected to promote the 2010 Celebration.  The selected artwork will be featured on all promotional material for the Sturgis Falls Celebration including (but not limited to) programs, posters and shirts.

The Sturgis Falls Celebration Committee will accept artwork until October 31, 2010.  Artists may mail or deliver their entries by 5:00 p.m. on the October 31 deadline.
