The Sturgis Falls Celebration has deep roots in Cedar Falls, originating from the city’s 1976 Bicentennial Celebration. Named after William Sturgis, the town’s first settler, this annual event has evolved into a vibrant tradition bringing together community members and visitors alike. From its humble beginnings to becoming a hallmark celebration, Sturgis Falls has thrived thanks to the dedicated efforts of countless volunteers and organizations.
GIVING BACK
Sturgis Falls is proud to be a non-profit 501(c) organization dedicated exclusively to charitable purposes. Our board of directors is made up entirely of volunteers who work tirelessly to make the festival a success. Now in its 49th year, Sturgis Falls continues to thrive, with all revenue from helping to support events in and around Overman Park. Over the years, we have given back more than $600,000 to the Cedar Falls community, funding various local projects and causes. Thank you for being part of our festival and contributing to this wonderful community!
